Since 1991, Ideate, LLC has been creating custom desktop and networked database applications. Starting in 2000, we began using Rapid Application Development tools to craft Internet-based solutions. 

Michael Hogan, founder of Ideate, is a frequent speaker at Visual FoxPro user groups and WebConnection events, and he has authored numerous articles on the subject.

Originally trained as a licensed architect, Michael began developing database applications for the building industry in the early 1980s. Today, he specializes in Visual FoxPro and web application languages, creating desktop, web, and networked solutions. He helps businesses solve complex challenges through application integration and workflow analysis. He applies the problem-solving mindset of an architect to address business needs through software.

Michael has worked independently and collaborated with other developers to deliver applications for companies of all sizes—from small businesses to large enterprises.

He has also spoken extensively at conferences targeting both the architectural and programming communities. His expertise lies in web-based business applications, where he combines various technologies to create effective, cohesive solutions that meet real business needs.
